NORTH QUEENSLAND ASIA (NQA SERVICE)

Merchant Shipping provides a dedicated direct service between North Queensland and Asia. Our regular ports of call include Townsville, Keelung (N/B only), Qingdao and Shanghai. We also offer Gladstone/Pt Alma and Mackay on inducement. Clients can also rely on our fast transit times and close relationships with port, road and rail providers to service various inland destinations.

Merchant Shipping operates fully geared vessels with the ability to accept bulk, breakbulk, overdimensional and containerised cargoes. A fleet of company owned containers ensures that Merchant Shipping have the right equipment to move a diverse range of freight. We are also an IMDG/IMO specialised carrier allowing the carriage of various classes of hazardous and dangerous goods.

CHINA DARWIN SERVICE

Merchant Shipping offers a monthly service between Asia and Darwin.  This service operates with transhipment via Singapore.  Ports offered include Shanghai, Yokohama, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hong Kong.

Approx transit time from Shanghai to Darwin is 21 days.

ROUND THE WORLD (RTW WESTBOUND)

Merchant Shipping offers a Round the World service encompassing Australia (Esperance and Townsville), South Africa, Canada, US Gulf and W.C. South America.  It is a unique service with direct service from South America to Australia in only 20 days.

Merchant Shipping offers a range of transport solutions – shipper owned containers (SOC’s), carrier owned containers (COC’s) and breakbulk.  It is a multimodal service offering door-to-door services in all locations.
